Since we are playing at a farmers' market this weekend, here is a song about food. Louis Jordan (1908-1975) was one of the kings of jump blues, and was one of the most successful African-American musicians of the 20th century with at least four million songs sold. He also achieved "crossover" popularity with a number of top ten hits on the "pop" charts. As a musician he specialized in alto sax, and he was equally renowned as a bandleader and songwriter (Wikipedia).
